You might also be asked which restaurant in your area you visit most frequently or other questions. The birthday club may be a special, separate club from the newsletter or fan sign-up, or they may be combined. Make sure you sign up for the correct one if there is a choice.
With the abundance of social networking sites, many businesses are now joining them as a way to connect with customers. Some businesses might ask that you become a friend, join their network or become a fan of their social networking site in order to receive free birthday stuff.
Finally, some businesses, especially local ones, have cards to fill out in the store. These cards are often located near the cash register or host(ess) area of the business. Leave them with the store proprietor or mail them in to the proper address.
Free Birthday Stuff Catches
Not every freebie is truly free, but many are extremely good deals that are still worth investigating before you sign up. These are common catches to freebies on your birthday:
- The item is only free with another purchase.
- You must purchase a certain dollar amount of products in order to receive the free product or discount
- The offer is only good for a short period of time, such as the day of your birthday.
- You may have to agree to receive promotional mailed or e-mailed materials to receive the birthday freebie.
At places and companies you all do business with, these small catches are not usually something to stop you from signing up for the birthday freebies. However, it is always good to know what you are also agreeing to when you sign up.
