Since it's already known as a great place to find online bargains, eBay coupons are difficult to find. However, if you're willing to be patient, you may find ways to earn additional savings on your purchases.
Saving Money with eBay Coupons
Retail Me Not, a resource for coupons from online shopping sites, has a page where visitors can post eBay coupons. Unfortunately, the site does not automatically remove expired coupons and some people have been known to post offers that do not work. So, you'll need to be careful when trying to use these resources.
Individual sellers on eBay sometimes offer their own coupons as well. The best way to learn of these offers is to e-mail the seller directly or see if you can find a way to sign up for the company's newsletter. If you've placed an order from the seller in the past, you may be placed on an automatic mailing list.
The eBay system is set up to only allow one coupon per purchase. Additionally, you will only be able to use your coupon if you pay for the transaction using PayPal. Paying with a PayPal account allows you to use your debit card, credit card, checking account, savings account, or PayPal balance.
Patience is Key!
Being a successful eBay shopper requires a fair amount of persistence. Since the selection of merchandise on the site is constantly changing, you need to be willing to wait until the item you need appears at a price you can afford. Coupons are only available for a limited time as well. If you don't enjoy the "treasure hunt" aspect of shopping on eBay, you may be better off looking for a bargain elsewhere.
